At Steele Haus K9 Training we render and provide services for every type of dog and owner out there. Puppies to senior dogs, Chihuahuas’ to Pitbulls; we have you covered. Whether you’re dealing with behaviors like jumping, pulling or lunging on leash, fearfulness, excessive barking, aggression, separation anxiety or toy and food possession, we have the answers you’ve been searching for. We will setup training goals, work towards our goals and finalize it by leaving you, the owner, and dog more confident and with a better relationship then ever before.

Our dog training system is built for the real-world. This means we focus on your lifestyle and not on a classroom environment. We train in a balanced approach of giving dogs the information they require and deserve. What this means is that we open our world up to more then just food training. How many times has your dog been outdoors and not cared to come back to you with food in your hand? How many times have you done repetitions of sit and down yet your dog doesn’t stay for more then 15 seconds? We use everything from food, clickers, markers and toys, to prong collars and remote collars. This gives us the ability to meet our training goals regardless if one training method fails us. We continue to work until the dog understands exactly what we’re asking it to do. At the end of the day the biggest training tool is our mind and versatility.

I explain our balanced approach to training as an integral part of our world. Everything in nature and on this planet works in perfect harmony. Too much sunlight can kill a lawn, while too little can also kill a lawn. A bridge is perfectly balanced for traffic to safely cross.. Our bodies are made up of the correct PH ratio between alkalinity and acidity… Animal kingdoms must be balanced in order for species to survive… If there was never a consequence for an action then many species would be extinct.

This “Balance & Harmony” system works in our dog training program through our use of many training tools and our approach. We use positive reinforcement and corrections in our system. We work with “Yes” and “No.” I want people to know that it is absolutely 100% correct to tell your dog “No.” In fact, I encourage you do it. However, on a daily basis most dogs hear the word “No” dozens of times a day and have yet to figure out what it means. This is where our training system comes in. In order for any reward or consequence to be effective we must effectively condition our dogs to these. These lay the groundwork for our system.
